Took the kids and some friends to the Aviary this week. Got some birds for you! Hard to catch moving birds with a multipurpose lens while chasing a toddler... but we had a good time!

I'm starting this blog for the purpose of exploring photography and my camera without taking formal classes. I hope to try new things and set time aside to really improve my skills. My goal is to be able to take good photos most of the time instead of just getting lucky from time to time.

Yay birds! I have to admit that when we go to the zoo it mostly involves Koos keeping an eye on Xander while I take pictures. I'll post some of my favorite zoo pictures for you.
